Most hiring is on hold save for a new classification of work deemed “essential” by state governments. These include healthcare workers of all kinds along with delivery drivers, grocery workers and most local and state government personnel.
As you can see from the Google trends data below grocery and delivery jobs have seen huge spikes in interest. Searches for these kind of jobs have more than doubled since mid March.
Since these are the primary organizations hiring right now I’d like to highlight the online job sites that cater to these industries as a helpful guide.
Food/Grocery Job Sites
There are a handful of sites that cater to grocers. CareersinFood, Joe Produce, GroceryCareer.org come to mind as the most popular.
Delivery Jobs
Ziprecruiter, Craigslist, Facebook jobs, Indeed, Snagajob and Jobcase are your best bets for these jobs. No niche delivery job sites exist as far as I know. Perhaps it might be a good time for someone to buy the domain deliveryjobs.com and start a business. It’s available for purchase if you have enough cash!
Goverment Job Sites
CareersinGovernment.com, USAjobs.gov (federal gov positions) are great sites to serve your fellow citizens. See also Governmentjobs.com
Healthcare Job Sites
Healthecareers.com, Healthjobs.com, PracticeLink are among the most established. There are a number of different healthcare job sites according to the various type of medical jobs. You can find a master list of 30+ healthcare job sites here.
Other Sites
For other related sites you might check out JobsinManufacturing or JobsinLogistics. Covid19jobs.io is a pretty good job search site and Jobvite has a good list of employers still hiring. Also the folks at Bayard Advertising put together HiringAgain.com.
And Phenom the talent experience management platform just launched HelpOneBillion with over 500,000 jobs from companies still hiring.
